SEO France- Information Concerning Page Redirection

Several web page owners apply page redirection strategies. You rename a page on your web page, for whatever basis. Possibly you decided to restore your entire naming convention, maybe you decided to restructure your page and need to move pages into different folders, or you just realized that you are missing valuable keywords.Let’s talk about a bit on the keywords concern, since it is part of your search engine ranking achievement.

Let’s say the page in question is about customized clothing and you named it page1.htm. Then you read some SEO articles and you found out that some search engines employ words in the actual file name as search keywords. Next time you do a Google search, take a look at the results, most will have words in the actual file name (in the URL section) bolded, denoting a keyword match. Now that you renamed your page, you just created a symphony of issues for yourself, for your users and for your position in search engine results.

You will have got to point every link on your site to the new page name. If your page is small, it should not be a big deal, but if your page is large, you will inevitably make mistakes, mainly forgetting a link or two. This will result in visitors getting the dreaded “404 page not found” error when clicking on your links, robots (also know as crawlers or spiders) avoiding you, etc. Also, if you are heavily relying on visitors from search engines, then again, people will get a “404 page not found error”.

Let’s employ the previous example, for a long time your page1.htm was indexed by major search engines. If someone types “custom usb drives” in a search engine box, your page shows up on the first search results screen. That is fantastic, only if someone clicks on the link, they will be pointed to page1.htm, not to custom_usb_drives.htm, because the first page is the one in the search engine’s index. It will take time, sometimes months, before the search engines update their indexes with your new page name.

Google developed a proprietary algorithm that assigns a Page Rank (PR) to every page on the web. PR is a number from 1 to 10 (10 being the ideal) and is intended to be a representation of how useful and popular a given page is. PR is influenced by many factors, one of the crucial ones being Link Popularity. Link Popularity is a representation of how many “quality” or “relevant” sites link to your page. When you rename a page and discard the old page, you also discard the PR of the page. Your renamed page will be seen as a totally new page, with 0 PR. I will start by enumerating some of the methods used by the non-initiated. If you do not have access to the server, ask your host to point you into the right direction. In conclusion, the best and the most transparent way (to both human and robotic users) to rename and move files on your web site, while preserving your search engine ranks is the 301 redirect.

How To Get The Most From Article Marketing

Submitting an article to a directory is a great way to gather lots of specifically targeted prospects for your site and the things you are selling. Article submission helps you build your standing as an expert in your chosen niche Think about it: aren’t you more likely to have confidence in someone who has numerous articles published on a subject that you want to learn more about? Wouldn’t a person be more likely to buy from someone if a Google search resulted in lots of quality results for his name? You will make this happen all by yourself if you write and submit articles.

It is very important to ensure that your articles are well crafted before start publishing articles left and right. Anybody can slap together a couple of paragraphs and hit distribute. Just have a look at running a blog if you want proof of this. When your objective is to make yourself a specialist, though, you’ll want to make absolutely sure that the articles you create are good. Before you truly submit, write at least two drafts and get someone to read what you have written. If your postings are great more everyone is going to respect you. If the posting isn’t factual as well as entertaining, your viewer won’t finish it. If there are tons of glitches, people will click away immediately.

Article marketing isn’t simply about creating as many back links as possible. This is why you shouldn’t stoop to publishing a single article to dozens of directories. Sure this may build back links, but it won’t help your reputation get stronger. People who do research and even just read for fun will notice instantly if your article ends up in front of them a lot. If it becomes evident that you only have a couple of articles in publication they won’t be as likely to trust you. To clear your conscience, publish multiple versions of your very best article instead of just submitting the article itself.

Only the very best web sites should have your reports. E-zine Article Directory is quite well reputed and has very rigid submission rules. Buzzle is yet another great one as is Article Dashboard. Don’t forget though that Squidoo and HubPages aren’t truly article banks. Those websites are created for profit sharing. Do a dash of research to determine which article directory sites are always turning up in Google searches and send your work in to them. You must ensure that your brand is what people see when they search in your market or topic. You could grow your financial well being and send more traffic to your site this way.

There are a lot of different strategies you can use to develop your business by creating articles. This is even more true if the articles or blog posts are really well crafted and get indexed well by the main search engines. There are lots of things that you can do to make this occur. It’s totally feasible to whip out an article and distribute it to every directory you see. Of course, if you really want to get the attention you desire (and the money you want to make) you can write a few well written articles and then send them to a couple of the most highly respected article directories online. If you make the correct decision here, you can actually build your business by quite a lot!
